Tonight was a wonderful night.

I got to meet with Whoopi Goldberg at the St. Aloysius annual fundraiser. In person and on television I think she’s one of the most genuine people I’ve met. I challenged her to name all the people in the Obama Inaugural Tribute, we’ll see if she passes that test.

I also met with Senator Kearney, someone who I’ve been hoping to meet for some time. I feel a bit bad because I thought I could show him some of my artwork but when I got there someone had already bought it so there was nothing but an empty table.

Along with that I met a handful of other interesting people. I ended up sitting at a table filled with a lot of IT-folk. Go fig… I fit right in.

The latest piece I’ve taken a pic of is “Flower” which derives its name from the poem it is related to. I wrote the poem well before the painting was done and I feel as though it fit very well:
